IAS Preparation Tips for Beginners

Most of the candidates appearing for UPSC focus on the reading part. Some of them don’t revise what’s taught in class after they’re home (If you do this, you are already at the top of your game). Many candidates try taking mock tests only 15 days before the prelims exam and some go through question papers just one or two days before the exam (which is not going to help).

Many stop daily answer writing practice in the middle of their preparation before they realise its too late. Most people directly jump to the standard books before reading NCERTs comprehensively (this is a major mistake).

Some candidates keep on adding up new study material and therefore, they are not able to revise multiple times. Many candidates give up reading the newspapers and look for short cuts. Some candidates are not able to manage their time and hence can’t give proper attention to every subject.

Last but not the least, If you’re preparing everything well, but you have not chosen the right optional, that’s catastrophic.

Offered Courses

Do you know what it takes to become a bureaucrat?

A concrete foundation.

Every year, lakhs of candidates apply for UPSC. 95% of such candidates are filtered out at the preliminary round only. Similar process of filtration continues up to the final stage. Only the lucky 0.1% are able to make it to the final list.

So, what differentiates these 0.1% successful candidates from the 99.9% rejected ones?

UPSC FOUNDATION COURSES OFFERED BY INKAR IAS ACADEMY

INKAR offers three exclusive foundation courses – one-year foundation course, two years foundation course and Unlimited Lifetime foundation course.

Why do we need three different kinds of foundation courses?

Different IAS aspirants have different backgrounds. Some are working professionals, some are homemakers, some are undergraduates, some are graduates and some have just finished their school.

Everybody has a different time constraint. While some can spare only 2-3 hours for studying, others have 10-12 hours available for preparation.

Also, every candidate has a different study pattern requirement depending on where they are in their UPSC journey. A graduate who wants to appear in CSE next year would have a different study pattern from an undergraduate/12th pass/10th pass who would focus on building up their foundation.

Also, a working professional/home maker would have to manage his/her time very expeditiously if they want to stay in the game.

This is the reason, INKAR has come up with three different foundation courses suitable as per the needs, eligibility, age and requirements of different aspirants.

Foundational Programme

1 Year Foundation Course

One-year foundation course is meticulously designed for aspirants who have completed their graduation and are targeting for Civil Services Examination next year.
