What is UPSC

  • UPSC is the recruiting agency for the govt. of India. Firstly, it is responsible for appointing candidates for all the prestigious positions. Services under UPSC

If you don't already know, UPSC appoints for 23 different Civil Services. Moreover, an All India exam called UPSC-CSE is conducted to select candidates for the same. IPS (Indian Police Service)

IFoS (Indian Forest Service)

  • The highest post of IFoS for the central government is DG of the forest.

  • However, the highest post of IFoS for state government is the Principal Chief Conservator of the forest.

IFS (Indian Foreign Service)

  • IFS officers start their training at LBSSNA and move further to the foreign service institute of Delhi to continue with the training.

  • Also, IFS officers tackle India's foreign affairs. They have to represent India at the international level. IFS officers can be posted in any of the listed countries and often provided with heavy security in areas of high danger.

ICAS (Indian Civil Accounts Service)

  • ICAS works under the Ministry of Finance

  • Also, the head of it is the Controller General of Accounts.

  • Further, they are trained in the National Institute of financial management, Faridabad.

ICLS (Indian Civil Law Service)

  • ICAS works under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs

IDAS (Indian Defence Accounts Service)

  • It comes under the Ministry of Defence.

IDES (Indian Defence Estate Service)

  • IDES officers get their training at the National Institute of Defence estate in New Delhi.

IIS (Indian Information Service)

  • IIS is responsible for the media wing of the govt. of India.

  • Also, the main purpose of IIS is to bridge the gap between the govt. and the public.

  • On the other hand, officers of IIS work at departments like DD, PIB, AIR, and many more.

IOFS (Indian Ordnance Factories Service)

  • IOFS manages Indian ordnance factories that produce defence equipments, arms, and ammunitions.

  • Also, IOFS comes under the Ministry of Defence

  • Further, candidates of the IOFS train at the National Academy of Defence production for 1 year.

How to fill form of UPSC

1. Registration
Firstly, go to the official website and click on the link to apply for civil services. Secondly, Enter the details like Name, Gender, Category, Nationality, etc. After that submit it and you will be on the payment page. This is the first step to register for the exam form.

2. Payment Step
You can choose to pay online and offline. However, to pay online it includes payment through debit/credit card or net banking. Firstly, for Debit Card enter the card number, validity, and CVV number. Secondly, If you choose Credit Card enter the card number, validity, and 6 digit special PIN number. Further, for net banking enter the account details and click on pay. Now, you will be redirected to Part II of the UPSC Form.

3. Registration
After the receipt of the fee payment, fill the details of the application form, and enter the choice of Exam Centre. Further, enter the qualification and other details. After verification, click on submit.

4. Upload Image
Firstly, click on the link provided to upload the photo. Secondly, find and select the image. However, the image size should be JPG, Size 20KB – 300KB. Further, check if the image is correct and clear. Now, repeat the same steps to upload the picture of the signature. Also, the format and size are the same as the photograph. At last click on “I Agree” to approve and submit the complete IAS Form.
